Everyone has scars
Battles to fight
Everyone stumbles here and there
Trying to find solace in things
Leaving people behind
Caring for things beyond our control
And letting go of things that we could have controlled
Always entangling the open threads
And finding excuses to unravel the simplest of things
Living with small problems
We feel suffocated
And looking at the sky
We feel peaceful
We find companions in pets and work
Leaving our human parts aside
We turn all these battles into wars
Trying to fix things that aren’t broken
And breaking ones that are already into pieces
But the most terrifying things are inside us
Turning us into these fighters
When we could have just loved or let go
Coz some of the scariest battles
Are always fought inside our heads
And more often than not
We lose them
For they aren’t the battles to fight
They are the ones that demand acceptance
And our evolution
They make us strong
They make us better
But most of all,
They make us human
